Official tickets: the Wieliczka Salt Mine sells its own tickets at bilety.kopalnia.pl, at its ticket offices and at the vending machines at the mine, and it says it does not work with intermediaries. This website is not the mine. The guided tours further down are sold by our partner Tiqets, an independent company, and include the mine entry: they are not official mine tickets.

At roughly 4.3 PLN to the euro, a low-season adult ticket is about 24 euros in Polish and about 33 euros in a foreign language. The real exchange rate and your bank’s charges will differ.
The Miners’ Route has the same prices, and its reduced ticket applies to visitors over 10. The ticket for the Tourist Route includes the underground exhibition of the Kraków Saltworks Museum. Photos and filming are allowed and carry no extra charge in the price list.
Who pays less, and who enters free?
Children under 4 enter free, but the price list asks for a control ticket at 0 PLN, which must be registered. The group leader and the teacher of a school group are also free, according to the list. The categories that qualify for the reduced rate are not detailed in what we read, and third-party sites give different answers, so check the official site if you rely on it.
The price list shows no booking fee, but we could not check whether online checkout adds one.
What does Tiqets sell?
Our partner Tiqets sells guided tours of the mine that include the entry. At the time of writing, 22 October 2026, the simplest ones last about 2 hours 30 minutes and start at the mine, from about 28 euros. Others last about 4 hours 30 minutes and include return transport from Kraków, from about 62 euros. Prices and availability are live on the tickets page. Tiqets lists free cancellation up to 24 hours before for these tours: check the terms on the product page.
These are not the mine’s own tickets, and they are different products from the ones in the official shop. Compare what is included, such as the guide language, the meeting point, the duration and the transport, and not only the price.
Which option should you choose?
- You want a plain entry ticket: buy it from the official shop, at bilety.kopalnia.pl.
- You travel from Kraków without a car: a tour with transport removes the train or bus. See the directions.
- You need a language other than Polish and English: the mine says to buy online in advance. Check the guide languages on each product.
- You want to go on a specific day: departure times depend on the date. Look at the calendar before you plan the rest of the trip.
